I’m always on the lookout for new inspiration. Lately it’s been vintage paper ephemera, flea markets and antique stores. But today I found a site called The Selby In Your Place featuring photographs of random folks homes such as artists, authors, chefs, etc. by Todd Selby. Most known for his portraits and similar photographs, Todd has a series (if you’ll call it that) on the site called theselby.com filled with inspirational interior photos. I love them, they are interesting, exciting and some are even odd but most are beautiful.
His subjects are inviting and the homes are lovely whether they have been highly decorated, messy or just your typical home. I couldn’t find much on the site in terms of what it’s about or if there’s a mission but I love browsing the many photos either way.
One nice thing is at the end of most pages is a handwritten interview of sorts asking the subject a few simple questions. These are entertaining as well so don’t be so impatient and refrain from hitting the back button on your browser.
This double header wall ornament was amusing to me in so many ways. You gotta love it! There are a lot of great images on here and if you need a break from work or are just looking for something interesting, this is a place to go to waste a few minutes!
